Philip Stedman

Philip is a Founding Partner of Stedman Denny LLP. He has been working in the banking industry for over 20 years, most of which was focussed on risk management. Phil’s deep-rooted and broad expertise in all areas of risk management and financial analysis has provided an invaluable source of advice for clients, especially in current market conditions.

 

Prior to setting up Stedman Denny LLP, Philip worked at Renaissance Capital where he was responsible for financial reviews of target assets and the risk analysis of structured products in Sub-Saharan African and Russia/ CIS.

 

Before working at Renaissance Capital, Philip worked at Barclays Capital where he was Head of Credit Risk Management across all countries in the EEMEA zone and latterly also responsible for structuring, pricing and selling Emerging Market credit products.

 

From 1993 to 2003 Philip was responsible for risk management at Merrill Lynch where he was director and deputy head of Merrill's European risk management group, responsible for all EMEA countries.

 

Philip started his career in 1987 at NatWest (now RBS) in Corporate Sales based in France, Belgium and Spain. Philip graduated from King’s College London with a BA (Hons) in Languages.
